Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience?

No, our events are suitable for both beginners and experienced participants.

Can I book as a couple?

Yes. During registration you can link your partner to your booking.

How do I get there?

See the travel information on each event and use the travel forum to carpool.

What does a week cost?

That differs per week and per sleeping place, so the price is shown with the event itself. You will see it in the calendar, and again while booking as soon as you pick a place to sleep.

What is included in that price, and how paying works, is answered in the questions about included costs and about payment.

Which costs are included in the course price?

The prices are all-in: six nights, the course fee and three meals a day. Coffee, tea and fruit are free. Not included are transport, extra drinks and any material costs for the creative courses.

How do I pay, and what do I pay for?

When you book, you pay a deposit; the remaining amount is settled in cash on site. There is no card payment at Le Moulin, so bring enough cash.

Can I cancel?

You can always cancel, without giving a reason. The deposit is then kept as an administration fee. For the summer weeks in France it is often possible to move your week to another date, free of charge or at low cost. If you leave early after paying in full, there is no refund. Please arrange your own cancellation and travel insurance.

How do I register?

You register via the registration form on the course page, or via the registration button in the calendar. You will automatically receive a confirmation.

I have a special diet. Can this be accommodated?

Let us know about food allergies and intolerances when you book, and also mention them personally to the cook on the first day.

How much should I budget for materials?

For the creative courses, depending on what you make, roughly between 10 and 20 euros. There are no material costs for yoga and massage.

Is there wifi?

There is fiber internet and a good connection around the buildings. We encourage you to enjoy your stay offline as much as possible; that is when the most beautiful experiences happen here.

Can my children come along?

Children up to four years old stay free of charge; from five years on, the full-board arrangement applies. There is no childcare and no separate children’s program.

Can I bring my pet?

As a rule, pets cannot come along. In consultation, an exception is sometimes possible with a full-board or two-person booking. Fifteen minutes away there is a pet boarding facility we can put you in touch with.

What is the swimming water like at Le Moulin?

The swimming lake is a natural water basin, about twenty meters across and 2 to 6 meters deep, with clean water. The clay bottom gives it a somewhat brown color. There is a small grass beach with sun loungers, and a rowing boat.

Can I be nude?

Around the swimming lake, at the sauna and on the campsite you can be nude, naturally with respect for others. Not in or around the buildings, and not within sight of the public road.

What are the groups like?

On average, about 55 percent of participants are women and 45 percent men. Most participants are between 35 and 60 years old. More than half of the participants come on their own.

What happens on the day of arrival?

On arrival, between 4 and 7 pm, you are welcomed, shown around and taken to your sleeping place. Dinner is at 7 pm. In the evening, around 9 pm, there is an introduction and a first meeting with the group.

What should I bring?

Your own bath towels, always. Bedding you can leave at home: in the rooms, the Sadhaka tents and the caravans the bed is made up for you.

If you camp on your own pitch with a tent, caravan or camper, you do bring your own sleeping gear. Keep the nights in mind: they cool down to around 10 to 15 degrees, so a winter sleeping bag or duvet and a hot water bottle are worth the space.

Bring enough cash as well. There is no card payment at Le Moulin, and you settle the remainder of the course fee on arrival. For a creative course, count on roughly 10 to 20 euros in materials.

What is a full-board arrangement?

With the full-board arrangement you stay at Le Moulin without taking a course, for example as an accompanying partner or family member, or for an independent holiday stay. Your stay includes meals, and you join the day openings and the evening activities. That way you are part of the whole. Arrival is always at the start of a new week. We keep the retreat weeks closed to protect a safe container, so we do not admit people halfway through the week.
